Problem with my M505 Palm

Palm M505 pda

Specs: Windows 7
Well... I pulled out of my drawer my Palm M505 and set it on the wall charger for about 3 hours. Now all it does is the on (green light) stays on and the screen is totally blank. I did the hard reset by holding the green light on button while pushing the reset button on the back with a pin and nothing happens. Does anyone have an answer for me? Barbara

If the Palm has been dormant for too long, you may need to try and cycle the battery into a working state once again.

Try doing a hard reset, and holding everything down for 30 seconds. Unless the Palm responds, leave it alone, and let it sit charging for the next 12-16 hours. Unplug the device and try to hard reset again. If after this process, the Palm does not work, try re-plugging in the charger to the Palm, and try the process again. I have personally used this process to fix Palms that refused to turn on or respond in the past.

However, if the battery dropped to zero and stayed stagnant too long, or if this process completely fails altogether, you will need to have the Palm serviced, or you can order a battery online, disassemble your Palm carefully, and solder the new battery wires to the new battery.
