If you are asking whether or not a .net application can connect to a database application on OpenVMS, the answer is yes. Since all applications are different and I have no idea what you are trying to accomplish, all anyone can say is that it is a possibility. If you need to create an application that communucates with your .net system, than specifics need to be stated and the application developed.

I hope this helps a bit,

Dan

Thank you Dan for responding. Let me explain...I have a VS2008 .net mobile application that needs to talk to Oracle database on a windows server machine and another mysql database on OpenVMS server having apache server . I am communicating to Oracle DB through web service implementation but to communicate with mysql DB how can I deploy web service implementation built on Visual studio to OpenVMS machine. I tried placing the web service deployed code on a folder in wwwroot of OpenVMS apache server and tried to call Service.asmx from a windows box for testing. It doesnot execute the web service database implementation. I do not know if there are steps for deploying web service on OpenVMS envirnment. I am new to this world and if you guide me through I will greatly appreciate it. If you need any more details please ask.

Thanks for helping me out!
