word photo to pdf in wrong format

November 15, 2010 at 03:16:24
Specs: Windows XP
I have copied a photo into word and added a text box. I have tried to crop the word document so that only the photo shows, but cant find anyway of doing this. I have then converted to pdf but thw whole document has come thru with the photo and loads of white space around the outside.

Is there anyway I can crop the document so that when I convert to pdf it is just the photo?

Do you have to convert it to PDF from within Word?

There are free PDF converters, such as cutePDF, that install on your system as a "printer". When you "print" to that "printer" it creates a PDF file.

If you can save the picture and text box as a picture and then print it to the converter, you'll essentially convert the picture to a PDF.

PowerPoint will allow you to import a picture, add text boxes, etc. and then export the slide as a jpg or or other picture format, which you can then print.

As I said...Import the photo into PowerPoint, add the text and either print the slide to cutePDF or export the slide as a JPG and print the JPG to cutePDF.
