won't accept my product key

Microsoft Office ultimate 2007
July 6, 2010 at 11:24:11
Specs: Windows 7
Hi, I bought Office Ultimate through a student
discount service and used it on my laptop. I
saved the label with the codes along with the
disks. I've now bought a netbook, and want to
install the disks, but it won't accept any of the
numbers as correct. I get the message that
the product code cannot contain a "1" (which it
does) or a "5", (which it does). What is going
on???

I get the message that the product code cannot contain a "1" (which it does) or a "5", (which it does)

Could the number one be the letter l ?
Could the number five be the capital S ?

I always get confused between the capital B and number 8.

No, the number 1 is clearly a 1, and 5 is clearly a 5. Did they
sell me this product with a product key making sure I could only
use it ONCE? Is that what happens with the student discount?

Sorry, don't know.

Contact Microsoft and see what they say.
Contrary to popular belief they don't bite. :-)
