Windows 7, Microsoft Office Word, Cursor

February 2, 2011 at 10:09:58
Specs: Windows 7
While working on a word document my cursor alternates between normal and a spinning, loading wheel, whilst it doesn't seem to be causing a problem its very distracting and makes selecting tabs or text difficult.
I have checked table and header and footer options as advised on other forums but that doesn't seem to be the problem or rectify it.
Any advise greatly appreciated.

Try a Diagnostic:

Running Microsoft Office Diagnostics from within Excel/Word

Click the Microsoft Office button
Click on the Excel/Word Options button to bring up the Excel Options dialog box (at the bottom of window)
Click on the Resources button in the left hand pane
Click on the Diagnose button in the right hand pane
Click Continue
Click Run Diagnostics

Running Microsoft Office Diagnostics from the Start Menu

Click on the Start button
Click All Programs
Click Microsoft Office folder
Click Microsoft Office Tools
Click Microsoft Office Diagnostics
Click Continue
Click Run Diagnostics

See if that helps.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion, I have already ran diagnostics and found no fault although I am running these again.

As it happened after amending a table within a document I cant help but feel some setting has changed and just needs put back. This is a hunch and completely without solid evidence.

Thanks in advance for anyone with a miracle cure
