windows 10 removing Word document preview pane

Specs: Windows 10
In Windows 10 Microsoft Word: the arrow next to Review Pane does not offer an option to remove the pane. I am only getting options to add a vertical or horizontal pane. I have edited a document and am now ready to print it. No matter how often I accept changes, remove comments etc apparently leaving my document ready for print the Review Pane pops back into view when the document is re-opened.

There's no such thing as "Windows 10 Microsoft Word".

Microsoft Word is a separate application which isn't built-in to Windows 10.
You therefore need to specify which Word version it is eg:

Microsoft Office Word 2010
Microsoft Office Word 2013
Microsoft Office Word 2016

What version of Word?

Are you referring to the Reviewing Pane option under Tracking? It's a Toggle. So all you have to do to turn it off is click on it. Make sure neither option is selected.

Or, are you referring to the Preview Pane (Reading Pane Layout)? If the latter, in Word 2010, go to Layout group, click Reading Pane, and then click Right, Bottom, or Off

In 2013, View, Views,PrintLayout. If it's already in Read Mode, just press ESC.

Does that help?
