Why is my table in Word 97 printed without the content?

Specs: Windows XP
I tried to print a word 97 document with a table using three different printers. On two of them, a Canon laser printer (LBP3010) and a Brother inkjet (MFC6490) the document was printed but the contents of the table were missing. Only table borders were printed as well as the text outside the table. On another printer, a Canon iP1980, which is a simple inkjet printer, the entire document is printed correctly, table content and all. Can someone explain why this happens and how to correct the problem?

I would guess it's the Print Drivers.

Try updating the LBP3010 and the MFC6490 with latest print drivers from their respective web sites and see if that improves things.

Another consideration may be the margins of the table may be too wide for the page settings of the paper and the usable page width of the printer. Some applications or drivers crop the image others may place it on another page or in your case omit it.

Thanks Mike and Wizard-fred! I will update the driver and also follow Wizard-fred's suggestion and see if there is improvement. Will post it here.

Sorry for such a long delay in getting back. I finally found out that the problem was with my Word 97 program. I forgot to elaborate that the document I printed on Canon i1980 was from another computer. I have now set up wireless printing for the MFC6490 and the same document was printed from another computer and it was ok.
