I'm running Windows 7 and Office 2007. I have somehow lost the ability to see or set archive settings. I want to reload Office 2007 from my CD. Will all my current content in office be lost or not?

Not completely sure what you mean, but if your asking if your .doc and .xls and other office type files will be deleted then, if they were saved to your My Documents directory, then, no they will not be deleted.

Where have you placed your files?
In what directory?

I can't speak to what will happen to Outlook, but as far as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc are concerned, be carefull.

If you have an xlb file (for any customized Excel tool bars), a personal.xls for Excel macros, a normal.dot file for Word macros, or any similar files for your Office apps, you should make backup copies and store them someplace other than where they reside by default.

Depending on what you repair or reload, these files may be overwritten or simply deleted. BTDT
