When I try to open a .docx document, it will not oen and I get a new MS Word window that opens and it says "The disk is full. Free some space on this drive, or save the document on another disk" There is no way my hard drive is full. This is a 22 KB document. I was able to save the .docx document to a flash drive, but this is cumbersome. Any thoughts?

What version of MS Word are you using? 2007 or 2010?
Are you getting the same error message when opening ANY .docx file? Or just this particular .docx file?

mmm Just to check/clarify...

How large s your hard drive; and how much of it has actually been used?

Perhaps run DiskClean (and Defrag) routine to generally tidy up the scene - regardless?

Have you verified how much free space is actually on the drive where the files are stored?
