I have a specific starting time and several timepoints thereafter that are to occur at a specific set of mins/hours later. I want to be able to plug in the starting time and have all of the subsequent times populate automatically. For example, I have to dose a patient with a medication then do several breathing tests one 5 mins post-dose, 15min post-dose, 1hr, 2hr, etc..

So if I dose them at 9am the first one is due at 9:05am, then 9:20am and so on. How do I create a formula for this?

Two questions: My crystal ball is out for repair this week and since you have posted in the Programming Forum, what program / language are you using?

You state that the times are 5 min

post-dosethen 15 minpost-dose

but in your example you give Accumulated Time.9:00am Dose, then 5 Min = 9:05 +15 Min = 9:20

but post-dose would be

9:00am Dose, then 5 Min = 9:05 + 15 Min from Dose time = 9:15

Which are you looking for, Dose Time or Accumulated Time?

MIKE

Sorry about that! I made a mistake above with 9:20am. It all goes back to the original dose time. The 15min post-dose would be 9:15am. The 30min post 9:30am and so on. I apologize for making that more confusing!

Microsoft Excel Windows Version 7

For future reference, Excel questions are best asked in the Office Software Forum Try this:

With your Dose Time in cell A1:

For +5 Min - In cell B1 enter the formula: =A1+TIME(,5,)

For +15 Min -In cell C1 enter the formula: =A1+TIME(,15,)

For +1 Hr -In cell D1 enter the formula: =A1+TIME(1,,)

For +2 Hr -In cell E1 enter the formula: =A1+TIME(2,,)The Time function uses: =TIME(Hour,Min,Sec)

See how that work for you.
