Something doesn't make sense in your explanation.

A2 can not contain both a formula and display the numbers of clicks.

It can only one or the other.

Is this all that you are looking for?

Sub Button1_Click()
  Range("A2") = Range("A2") + 1
End Sub

Yep. thank you. I'm obviously not a programming expert. I can usually find answers online here and there for my occasional small business needs. This one even though simple wasn't easily searchable. People like you who take time out of there day for what I'm sure seems kinda silly to help are truly appreciated.
