Using Outlook 2007 on 7/64bit; asks for password. I have 20 Outlook email addresses; it now happens on 3 of them, including 2 where the problem did not exist before -- all I did was change the name of these 2. So, 17 work; 1 entirely new email address has the problem; and 2 old accounts (name change only) don't work, either. This has happened in the past, and has gone away by itself, with no input from me at all; but I am not patient or lucky enough to count this as a "solution." I tried the Microsoft "quick fix" for this exact problem, and of course nothing changed.

I don't know how to mess with my registry, but from researching this, it's an OLD and KNOWN problem; there has to be a fix somewhere. What is it? Thanks!

Do you mean you changed the Mail Account field under Email Options on the General Tab? Are you sure the correct password is entered? Did you try re-entering it in the account configuration?
