I was able to create a data entry table in Excel. As I entered data into the table, it was shown in columnar form on the same spreadsheet as the table. I tried to get the data to be shown on a different spreadsheet in the same workbook but was unable to do so. Is this possible? I can use macros but not VBA.

Thank you.

If I interpet your question correctly... to format a cell as a date - right click on the cell (or column) and select format cells - part way down the drop down menu. Then on the first tab (number) select the date option in the listing and choose the style/format you want?

Equally are you wishing to show the same date cell (and format) entry on another spreadsheet?

trvir,

Thank you for your response. I created a data entry table where I input first name, last name, address, etc into the table and that information appears in columnar form on the same spreadsheet as the data entry table. I am trying to have the data entry table on one spreadsheet and the resulting output on another spreadsheet, both in the same workbook.

Thank you for your assistance.

re: "I can use macros but not VBA"

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Macros are written in VBA, so I don't know what you mean when you say that you can use one but not the other.

re: "I created a data entry table"

I also don't know what you mean by that. What did you actually "create" and how did you create it? What is a "data entry table" in this particular situation?

We also don't know what your current "same spreadsheet" output looks like, so we don't know what your desired "different spreadsheet" output should look like.

re: "I tried to get the data to be shown on a different spreadsheet..."

What did you try and what didn't work?

DerbyDad03,

Thank you for your response. I know how to use macros but can not write VBA code.

Is there a way I can send you a screenshot of the data entry table? It was created by adding “form” to the ribbon.

To get the data on a different spreadsheet than the data entry table spreadsheet , I tried referencing by using =!

Thank you for your assistance.

I'd like to help, but I'll be traveling for the next week on business. Not sure how much time I'll have for this forum. Maybe just hit or miss, but no real time to work on anything complicated.

Sorry.
