User cannot delete office temp file

Specs: Windows XP
Hello, I gave my users only read & write permissions to certain folders. When they open an office document in these folders and close them, the temp file remains because they do not have rights to delete. What can i do without giving them full rights?

Give them Modify. The can then delete what they need to.

Thanks for responding. Dont wont users to have the ability to delete files on the server. Normally if users have the ability to modify then the temp files would normally delete themselves but i've locked them down and don't want them to modify or delete. Do you know of a way to save the temp files locally. Then they would delete. Maybe you have a better idea.

The temp files should be saved locally. What is the path for the autosave option?

The temp files are not saving locally. they are being saved on folder that the word or excel document are. That's the problem.

If you open a word or excel file, right next to it appears a temp file. hen the user opens a word file in that specific folder. Sincethey don't have delete permission they stay.
