Anyone seen in Excel XP and 2003 where attempting to view Header/Footer option results in an error indicating the feature cannot be used because there is no printer installed? If so, how to remedy? These particular machines do not have the ability to print, and cannot have the ability to print.

Thanks.

Some way to set up a dummy printer so it just thinks there is a printer?

There are free PDF converters out there that install like printers:

CutePDF, PrimoPDF, etc.

Once installed, they show up in the printer list. Granted, the user would create a PDF file if (s)he printed, but there may be other ways to prevent that from actually happening.

Try one of those and see what happens.
