UK date format in Excel 2007 - I am using Excel 2007 and have difficulty getting dates in UK format. I have input 01/12/11 in a cell which is formatted as a custom format dd/mm/yy and yet when you type 01/12/11 it comes out as 12/01/11 and if you try to input dates as a string for a month once the 12 is reached it goes back to 1. How do you get round this? Surely if you select English UK format and custome set as I have done it should work but it doesn't. HELP PLEASE
Hi Jennifer That is the process i would have thought would work but if I do exactly as suggested and type in 1/9/11 for example it comes up as 9/1/11. This is where my problem lies - any other suggestions? Thanks for replying thus far. herddav
