Suddenly I am unable to delete emails from the Outlook 365 Inbox. The only way I can delete them is to delete the Gmail Inbox entry. I can delete them from other folders OK. Up to now I've been moving the emails to a separate folder and then deleted them but it's a hassle. It's more of an irritation than anything else but has anyone any ideas how to re-anable the Outlook Inbox direct deletion please?
1. On the Windows Start screen, type Control Panel.
2. Click or tap Control Panel.
3. Under Programs, click or tap Uninstall a program.
4. Click or tap MicrosoftOffice 365, and then click or tap Change.
5. Click or tap QuickRepair, and then click or tap Repair. You may have to restart your computer after the repair process is complete.
Thank you for the suggestion, Johnw. I carried out the above steps - the 'Quick' fix didn't request a reboot so I just opened up Outlook and tried to delete an email. Once again this didn't work so I did a reboot anyway, went into Outlook and tried a deletion again and still no result.
I then went thru your steps again but this time did the 'Full' fix. Before doing so I closed down everything as requested. After doing some initial setups of its own the process deleted Office and started to reinstall it and after about 5 minutes it reached a point of having installed 2%. This was over an hour ago and no further progress has been made - still 2%. I have no other apps running at this time except Firefox from which I am sending this message.
Am I being incredibly naive 🤔 in thinking any further installation progress will be made? What do I need to do now to rectify this sorry state? My fear is that if I reboot the laptop I will lose the lot. Needless to say I have remained online as the rebuild has requested.

Once again thankyou Johnw for the links and info. It hadn't finished by the end of the evening so I left the instal to run overnight and in the morning it had successfully reinstalled the Office. The bad news is that I still can't do the deletes.
I thank JohnW for his efforts to find an answer to my Outlook email delete problem. Although the problem still persists JohnW took the time to investigate possibilities.
