Could someone please help me! I am trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I want to have the user enter a loan amount and a percentage, then in my spreadsheet i have the particular rate appear that corresponds to information inputed above.

=IF(AND(C2<=250000),IF(AND(F2<=75%),DATA!J4),IF(OR(C2<=250000),IF(AND(F2>=76%,F2<=90%),DATA!J5,DATA!J6)))

This is what I have so far.

If loan amount is under 250,000 and greater than or equal to 76% and less than equal to 90% then return a figure on the sheet named Data J5. I have other conditions that I have to add to this as well. However if I can work out how to do these, then I should be ok.

The syntax for your AND and OR is wrong. Read the Excel Help files to see how they should be used.

Since AND and OR are used to compare 2 or more objects, using something like:

AND(C2<=250000)

makes no sense.

Perhaps you are looking for something like this:

IF(AND(C2<=250000, F2<=75%)....

which means that both of those conditions must be TRUE for the IF to be TRUE.

For OR, it would be:

IF(OR(C2<=250000, F2<=75%)....

which would mean that any one of those would have to be TRUE for the IF to be TRUE.

Thanks for the help, I tried the following:- =IF(AND(C2<=250000),IF(AND(F2<=75%),DATA!J4),IF(AND(C2<=250000,F2>=76%,F2<=90%),DATA!J5,))

It is still resulting in a false statement in the cell, when it should be producing a rate.

Are you able to shed any light on this?
