trouble reloading software on PC

July 14, 2013 at 10:57:33
Specs: Windows XP
when reloading a program that I had on the computer. I get a message that say I need to run software wizard again after typing in the software key. I did dump the old software prior to reloading because it wasn't recognized. I run McAfee and a windows cleaner.(ARO 2013) with no luck. Tried loading with firewall and background scanning turned off with no luck.

I doubt it is virus related if that is the only problem you have on the computer.

Assuming you have no problems with other CD's it is possible that the disk needs cleaning. Using washing up liquid and warm water, working from centre to outside on the underside sometimes helps. Dry off carefully with paper kitchen towel.

I've had a good scout around and haven't found anyone else with that symptom.
Maybe the Corel forum would best be able to help:

Keep watching on here too, to see if anyone else has some ideas.
