Microsoft Excel: mac 2008 (mac)

Specs: Macintosh
Hi, I am using Excel 2008 for mac. I just cut and pasted a row of dates that were mm/dd/yyyy into an new document and the dates went from 2011 dates back to 2007 dates all with the day one day ahead too. For example 5/16/2011 turned into 5/15/2007 6/2/2011 went to 6/1/2007. I saw an old post that told me to go into options, but I can't find where to look in this version of excel to find the 1904 vs 1900 check box. Any help is appreciated.
