Specs: Windows 7
I have a table of drop downs. I want totals at the bottom to be determined based on the drop down selection above. How do I do this?

Example: Category one drop downs is a,b,c

I want the total column to tell me how many times a was selected, how many times b was selected, etc.

I think that you are going to have to explain your layout/process in a little more detail.

You say you have a "table" and you want "totals at the bottom". Totals at the bottom of what? Columns?

If so, do you have row for each selection in case multiple sections are made?

Keep in mind that we can't see your workbook from where we are sitting nor do we know how it is used.

It could be as simple as:

=COUNTIF(A1:A10,"=a")
=COUNTIF(A1:A10,"=b")
=COUNTIF(A1:A10,"=c")
