Thunderbird is strange

Thunderbird / E-mail

Specs: XP SP2, 4 gigs
I use Thunderbird as my e-mail client. Suddenly, with no updates that I know of, the default settings and the sent box are screwy.

I usually have my preferences set to leave the mail on the server, do not delete any messages ( as opposed to those over 30 days old,) and my sent box collects my answers to my e-mails.

Now my Sent box is empty, it set itself to delete mail from my computer that is older than 30 days and mail on the server is being deleted every 7days.

Not sure what happened as I didn't change anything.

Is it just me or is anyone else found odd things going on. (The system it's on is XP.)

I have not seen (noticed?) anything different with my Thunderbird app, but I'll look closer when I get home.

There is a forum dedicated to Thunderbird where you might get some more specific help:

Thanks. I'll run over there and have a look.
