Specs: Windows XP
On one worksheet (A) I have dates for all of March. The worksheet pulls up dollar amounts earned for each job. I have multiple jobs on the same day. So, on 04/01 I have three different jobs with three different dollar amounts. On the second worksheet (B) I want to have one line for each date. I want the cell to look up the date and then add all the values for that date into the one cell automatically.

We all have wants.

Since we are all volunteers here, giving up our free time to help others, how about asking nicely for help instead of just telling us what you want?

My fault...I understand...I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could help! When I say want I am gearing more towards excel...not all of you. I would appreciate it if anyone could help me. I dont know exactly what to do or if I am headed in the right direction.

If the dates on Sheet1 are all on different lines, you should be able to use SUMIF.

Let's say you have list like this on Sheet1:

            A B
1	4/1/2012 2
2	4/2/2012 4
3	4/3/2012 6
4	4/4/2012 8
5	4/5/2012 10
6	4/6/2012 12
7	4/7/2012 14
8	4/8/2012 16
9	4/9/2012 18
10	4/10/2012 20
11	4/11/2012 22
12	4/1/2012 24
13	4/2/2012 26
14	4/3/2012 28
15	4/4/2012 30
16	4/5/2012 32
17	4/6/2012 34
18	4/7/2012 36
19	4/8/2012 38
20	4/9/2012 40
21	4/10/2012 42
22	4/11/2012 44

and a list like this in Sheet2:

           A
1	4/1/2012
2	4/2/2012
3	4/3/2012
4	4/4/2012
5	4/5/2012
6	4/6/2012
7	4/7/2012
8	4/8/2012
9	4/9/2012
10	4/10/2012
11	4/11/2012

In column B1 of Sheet2, paste this formula and drag it down:

=SUMIF(Sheet1!$A$1:$A$22,A1,Sheet1!$B$1:$B$22)
