Specs: Windows 7
Trying to type an address for labels, using Shift/Enter between lines so I get the single spacing needed, but the cursor vanishes when I do this, rather than starting a new line. Using Win 7 and Word 2007.

✔ Best Answer
Try running a Diagnostic:

Running Microsoft Office Diagnostics from within Word

Click the Microsoft Office button
Click on the Word Options button to bring up the Word Options dialog box (at the bottom of window)
Click on the Resources button in the left hand pane
Click on the Diagnose button in the right hand pane
Click Continue
Click Run Diagnostics

Running Microsoft Office Diagnostics from the Start Menu

Click on the Start button
Click All Programs
Click Microsoft Office folder
Click Microsoft Office Tools
Click Microsoft Office Diagnostics
Click Continue
Click Run Diagnostics

See if that helps.

Whenever I lose my cursor, whether it be on my Win 7 machine or my iPad, minimizing the window and then restoring it usually solves the problem.

Worth a shot...

Looks like I have problems with quite a few things - including the hard disk. However I back up regularly so can sort that one.
I'll try the other suggested fixes and let you know if the problem is solved but it may take a few days.
