Showing the difference between two large datasets

May 6, 2017 at 14:43:40
Specs: Windows 7
I have a large dataset from last year that I wish to compare with a new set of data from this year, but I want to be able to see what the two values are (from last year and this year) and the difference in the values for each column of data.
Each row and column has the same identifier that I want to compare.

This sounds like you just need some simple mathematical formulas, but without a lot more detail related to your spreadsheet layout, there's not much we can offer.

Please keep in mind that we can't see your workbook from where we're sitting, so you need to either explain the layout in words or post an example of your layout, using Column letters and Row numbers.

If you are going to post (non-confidential, non-personal) example data, please click on the following line and read the instructions on how to post data in this forum using the pre tags.

Click Here Before Posting Data or VBA Code ---> How To Post Data or Code.

Another option is to upload a (non-confidential, non-personal) example of your workbook to zippyshare.com and then post the link back here in the forum.
