Solved Search sheet one and paste sheet 2

December 31, 2018 at 21:27:28
Specs: Windows 10
Thank you in advance:

Sheet 1, column A, contains the raw data. 105403 rows.

Sheet 2 contains 2 columns. Column A contains the text I want to search for. Column B is blank and where I would like to have the data pasted to.

More detailed explanation:

I would like to have Excel look at Sheet 2, A1.

Then, to search Sheet 1 for the row containing the unique word embedded within the row. That unique word can only be found in one row.

Then, for that entire sheet 1 row to be pasted into Sheet 2, column B1.

Then, to have it continue the process row by row until column A has no remaining cells to search.

Is this possible? A similar question didn't match up to my specific issue.

Please explain this statement:

That unique word can only be found in one row.

Do you mean that it will only be found in one row or that you only want to find one occurrence of it even if it exists in more than one row?

Sorry for not articulating well enough. The raw data is current/former employee data. (Sheet 1)

Sheet 2 column A is an email address. Each email address will only be found in one row on sheet 1.

It will be found in one row.

Derby, I actually did find your solved this for another person. My brain is mush tonight trying to solve this. Your prior solution to them will be useable in this situation. I can easily copy/paste from sheet 3 to sheet 2.
