search for info with UF

Specs: Windows 7
I am building (or attempting to build) a new database which updates 2 worksheets from a single userform which I have somehow achieved :-)
I now would like to search for several records on the database using the employee number using a userform (preferably the same input UF I already have) and place this information on a new sheet
Sheet name which holds info to be searched "Alerts"
Sheetname to send info to "SafeGuarding"
Column D holds the employee number and column K holds the other information required
I have tried to perform Vlookup but cannot figure any of that out! Are there any simple solutions for a simple fellow or is it simply not possible?
Any help would be graciously received

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "I have tried to perform Vlookup but cannot figure any of that out!"

I don't know if you mean that you know how to use VLOOKUP but it doesn't fit your needs in this situation or if you are having problems understanding how VLOOKUP works and don't know how to construct a VLOOKUP formula.

We'd love to help, but first we have to understand what problem we are working on. Perhaps a little more detail would be helpful.

Hi sorry
I meant my knowledge of vba is poor and I could not get vlookup to work. I will upload an example of my spread sheet user form when I return to work on Monday. Thanks for your time
