Is there a way to write this formula but not to use max or min before? =IF(MAX($C$1:$C$6)=C1,"Max",IF(MIN($C$1:$C$6)

Maybe something like this =if($C$1:$C$6)max=C1,"IF($C$1:$C$6)min. Im not sure if this would work but something where Max and Min would be after ($C$1:$C$6). Thank you. Hopefully im not to confusing.

Before we even address your question about rewriting your formula, we should point out that the formula you posted isn't even a complete formula. Then, assuming you can fix your formula so that it actually works, I'd like you to tell us why you want to rewrite it.

This is the correct formula. Half of it didn't cope when I copied it. =IF(MAX($C$1:$C$6)=C1,"Max",IF(MIN($C$1:$C$6)=C1,"MIN",""))

I want to rewrite it because there is a shorter way of writing this formula
