After inserting Unicode information into a Calc cell by clicking the sell, then taking the mouse cursor up to the top where the Input line is and pasting the information directly, I want to be able to come back to that information, highlight a portion of the text to copy and paste somewhere else.

The problem I am having, is if the selected cell that has the required information has a email address or a web site address in it, it will take me to the site or open a email message.

Is there a setting to avoid these address' from popping up?

Also, i just thought of something. Is it possible to be able to click on a cell to view its information and have it enlarge (like by 4-7x its size) to reveal a document like window where you can scroll up and down the cell to view its contents/information?

Is there a spreadsheet out there that can do this?

Thanks for taking the time to read this and I welcome any suggestions that may help Calc , or any spreadsheet, become more user friendly.

Well, after some thought, I decided to just copy the text from the web page and save it into a Wordpad (.rtf) file instead of saving the whole web page as a .txt file(wich it does as unicode), then saving the newly created wordpad file.

This allows me to highlight selected text instead of copying the automatically selected text, wich happens to be all information in the cell.

This way works but requires more effort.

I am still interested if there is a better way
