# Solved Range of Cells - Multiple Criteria

August 10, 2018 at 23:33:22
Specs: Windows 10
I have a range of cells where I want to count all the cells with a score of "9" and "10". Currently my formula is COUNTIF(A1:E3,"9")+COUNTIF(A1:E3,"10"). Is there another function that I can use instead of adding the two COUNTIF?

First, you probably don't need the "" unless your data is text. Excel may ignore them, but they can be confusing.Try this:=SUMPRODUCT(COUNTIF(A1:E3{9,10}))

How do you create that bracket that houses 9 and 10? I just searched it in Google and copied and pasted in my formula and it worked. Also, would you mind elaborating how that formula worked?message edited by ChGatsby

`How do you create that bracket that houses 9 and 10?`It is the key to the right of the "P" key, you will need to press and hold the shift key, then press the key to the right of "P",
