Printing and Margins

Microsoft Word 2003 (upgrade)
May 13, 2010 at 08:46:47
Specs: Windows 7
I have a Word document that I need to be on LEGAL size paper. I selected the "Custom" page size in the Page Setup menu, and increased the margins to legal size: 8.5 x 14. When I print, I get the Error message that tells me to "Fix" automatically or "Ignore". I've tried both, and both ways cut off the bottom of my text.

This has NEVER happened before and it's so very frustrating!

This thread should be moved to the Office forum.

That said, you are evidently increasing margin size without changing the paper size.

There is a legal size paper option in every version of Word I have used. That is what you should use. Then if you need to, you can adjust the margins.

Word has a Legal size selection.

On the Task Bar,
Page Setup
Select the Paper Size Tab
In the small drop down menu,
Select Legal Size, 8.5 x 14
