|Running Office 2007,....Operating on win XP,.....|
and here is the annoying problem.... Whenever I try to insert a picture onto a slide,
about 65% of the time, after I select the image to insert and press insert, PowerPoint just locks up. It just freezes to the point of being unusable.
I try to run task manager and tell my system to shut down and restart. When I do this, I get a pop up message that reads "PowerPoint can not shut down while a message box is open." That's funny,..there ISN'T ANY MESSAGE BOX that opens!!!! There is nothing there! So why is the app hanging, whenever I try to insert a picture? AFter 3 attempts at shutting down my PC and getting the message box (and repeatedly checking the "x" to close the box, it (the image) eventually appears. This can takes up to 15 minutes. If I close the message box by clicking the OK button,....it will just stay locked up with the dialogue box still on the screen.
This happens no matter what other apps I have open at the time....and even if no apps are open on my system at the time.
