Specs: Windows 7
Hi,
Am sourabh and new to excel 2010 my problem is that i want to fill data dynamically based on selection in two drop-down list. Suppose i have cell A1 drop-down and cell B1 drop-down, so based on selection in both these cells i want the data in cell C1 to be automatically filled. and when the selection changes in cell A1 and B1 the data in cell C1 should change automatically.

Drop-down in cell B2 is dependent on cell A1.the data is stored in Sheet2 in the same workbook. Can sny1 suggest some formula for this

Can anyone Help...

You could set up a VLOOKUP table that uses the values in A1 & B1, concatenated together, as the lookup_value. e.g.

In this case, Data2 would be displayed in C1:

Sheet with Drop Downs

     A B C
1 Bob Sue =VLOOKUP(A1&B1, Sheet2!A1:B3, 2, 0)

Sheet 2 with lookup_array

       A B
1 SteveBill Data1
2 BobSue Data2
3 BobMary Data3

hi, Derby thanks for your help one more thing i would like to ask is that there will be mnay entries that a user can fill so every time user will have to change the =VLOOKUP(A1&B1, Sheet2!A1:B3, 2, 0) formula. Is there any other way by which i can apply only one formula for nearly 30-40 rows

=VLOOKUP(A1&B1, Sheet2!$A$1:$B$3, 2, 0)

If you drag this down, the $ will lock the range used for the table_array but the user input cells will increment for each row.
