|Outlook with MAPI indicates Outlook is configured to use Exchange. It was not indicated in the post but my guess is that Outlook is configured to use "cached mode". Cached mode is enabled by default. What I often do when there is a slow Outlook start-up is disable cached mode and move the OST file and other local files associated with cached mode exchange into another folder start-up Outlook with-out cached mode enabled, close outlook, enable cached mode, and start Outlook again. The local OST file will be rebuilt. At the bottom status bar of outlook you will see a message stating folders are updating. That indicates a new OST file is being created and will vary in how long it will take to complete depending on mailbox size. |
