Solved Outlook 2010: Read & Send Notifications...

Specs: Windows XP, P4, 2GB
Everytime I send an email the Read Notification and the Send Notification are checked on the toolbar.
Question is how can you tell that your email "has been read" or it "has been sent" afterwords.

As I recall… the recipient has to agree to send the received and/or read message/confirmation back… This for each email - although I think the recipient can also set his/her email account to do it for all - without further prompting.

I know in the past I have set the request for receipt/read etc. in Outlook 2010 and earlier - and haven't always had the response back. Recipient chose not to…

For whatever reason M$ dropped this option in Outlook 2011 and later - triggering numerous complaints about their doing that. Their (not so) "bright boys" at wherever claimed it was never much used, nor wanted…! I have heard comments that it has re-appeared in Outlook 2013 - after the above protests; but not having 2013 can't confirm…

One way you can test the system as you have it set up is to email yourself - both to your Outlook account; and also another account - Hotmail, yahoo mail etc.?
