Outlook 2010 quick search not working as it used to

December 5, 2017 at 16:21:11
Specs: Windows 10
Before the latest Windows 10 update, the quick search feature would start searching through emails (and displaying matches) as I typed into the quick search bar. Now the search does not start until I click on search or press enter. How do I revert back to the old quick search when I didn't have to click on search or press enter?

This tells you how to turn it off, so just reverse this by ticking the appropriate box:

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Thanks for the reply but this didn't work. The box was already checked/ticked. I tried unticking and then re-ticking it but it still didn't work. I also tried unticking, rebooting outlook, and then re-ticking, but this also didn't work....

Any other suggestions?

You could try what you did but restarting the computer each time instead of Outlook. Otherwise I can't think of anything much short of uninstall/re-install Outlook. Maybe a future update will magically fix it.
Bad that an MS update caused problems with an MS program.

Keep watching for other ideas.

Thanks again but still no success... I will try re-installing Outlook.
