Office Outlook 2007 email signature problems

January 4, 2011 at 07:01:06
Specs: Windows 7
I use Office Outlook 2007 for my email. I have it setup so that an automatic signature is added to all newly composed emails. My signature line consists of name, address, phone, and an email link. Every so often, when someone replies to my email, I see that a web link (the same one every time) has been added to my signature line from my original email. The web link is located right next to my email link. I've tried setting up a new automatic signature, but the same problem keeps happening. Anyone know how to correct this. Thanks.

Where is the link showing? Have you tried sending yourself an email to see if the link shows up in the signature?

You should probably remove your email address from your signature as well. Bots can pick that up with scanning, and the recipient will have your email address after you send him/her an email.

The link shows up right next to my email, on the last line of my signature. Yes, I've tried sending an email to myself but have never had the link show up on one of these emails. It only shows up sporadically, and I only notice it when they reply to my initial email and I see the added link on my signature line. Any thoughts?

It's to an article in The Atlantic magazine. It's an old article and always the same one.
