office 2003 explorer not saving column width in Windows 7

May 26, 2014 at 01:55:13
Specs: Windows 7
I have Outlook 2003 running on Windows 7. When I want to save an attachment to a preset folder the folder view settings are not saved. The correct folder opens and the items in that folder are correctly sorted it is just that the width of the columns has not been saved correctly so that information I want to read is invisible until I manually change the width of all viewable columns.

If you're only saving the attachment to that folder, what happens if you go through Windows Explorer and then open that folder? Are the column widths displayed correctly? What is the problem with the width of the columns, and how do you have then set to display?

There are many factors that go into the viewing of the files, so it could be that each one is manually set, and you need to set one, then apply that view to all folders. Or there may be another issue.

More detail would be good.
