Could some one write the formula for the problem opposite as I have the same problem. Much appreciated. Example below. C8 is not a formula, but a direct entry.

=IF(C8 >50000000, 3)

OR IF (C8.25000000,2) OR IF (C8 .5000000, 1)Where is the error?

First, are your "dots" (.) supposed to be greater than signs? If so, then this is what I think you are looking for:

=IF(C8>50000000,3,IF(C8>25000000,2,IF(C8>5000000,1)))

Keep in mind that each IF has to have a

value_if_trueand avalue_if_falseargument. Your 3, 2 and 1 are yourvalue_if_truearguments and the 2nd and 3rd IF's are thevalue_if_falsefor the preceeding IF's.However, you don't have a

value_if_falsefor IF(C8>5000000...) so any C8 value less than 5000000 will return FALSE since that is the default.
