Need a macro to create sheets based on my data

Microsoft Excel for mac 2011 - macintosh
August 9, 2012 at 11:33:37
Specs: Macintosh Lion
I have a set of sales data that I need to transform into separate tabs, by the value in one particular column. A sample of the data is below. The total rows are variable and there are multiple rows per value. (Category column in blank on most items.)

SKU Prefix Category Description Quantity Total
41-141 41 A BALANCED DIET XXXX $XXXX
85-141 85 A BALANCED DIET XXXX $XXXX
88-271 88 A BALANCED DIET XXXX $XXXX
41-165 41 A BUCK XXXX $XXXX
41-372 41 A FRIEND WALKS IN XXXX $XXXX
85-372 85 A FRIEND WALKS IN XXXX $XXXX
C-287 C A GOOD HAND XXXX $XXXX
CC-287 CC A GOOD HAND XXXX $XXXX

There are about 50 different prefixes in the sheet. I need to be able to quickly separate each prefix's data into its own tab.

Thanks.

Thanks. I had seen a few similar threads, which is why I posted in this forum.

Unfortunately, I have zero experience with VB and Excel macros and though I could figure it out with time, I don't have that time to figure it out.

I'm certainly not looking to put anybody out, but if there's anybody that can adapt those macros for my particular data set, that would be very helpful.

I appreciate your suggestion of the other thread, though.
