my free trial of Microsoft office expired , so I downloaded openoffice from a DVD , which works fine , then I emailed a document from my old laptop to my new laptop , which has a talktalk email address , clicked on the attachment , up came the bar at the bottom with run or save , clicked run then up came Microsoft office , which wont work as I never rejoined them after the trial , so how do I get my open office to appear , instead of Microsoft office
I do not have Win 8, but it sounds like your File Association may be the problem. See here:
