Specs: Windows 7
I have a problem i need to shorten a multiple if statement the answer for monday tuesday wednesday thursday and friday are all the same it changes for saturday and sunday i can't work out for the life of me how to get if and or to work together at the very begining without doing a separete if statement for each corrispoding cell for each day.

For example numbers start at monday and work through to sunday
Returns exactly the same result for 1 as it does for 6 and 7 only it should only return the same result for the numbers 1 to 5 and return the word error for 6 and 7.

First, your question would be a lot easier to read and understand if you mixed in a little punctuation. Try tossing in some periods and commas instead of using a single run-on sentence.

Second, review the Help files (or Google) to see the correct syntax for the OR function. You need to be specific with each logical argument. In other words you can't just "list" the values for the cell you are checking.

Finally, it might help if you included a few example of inputs and outputs so we can better understand what you are trying to accomplish.
