I download a spreadsheet which puts all dollar amounts in one column. I want to move all the negative numbers to an alternate column. Please help.

I am not sure if macros work on MACS as i have never tried. So an alternative method would be use a formula which will check if a value is lower than 0 and 'copy' that negative value to anothe column. I am not sure how we can MOVE that value, but atleast its a start.

Assumptions:

1) Dolla values are in column 'A'

2) All negative values need to be copied/moved to column 'B'A B 100 20 5000 -10 -10 0 -1500 -1500So as the above shows the negative values have been copied to coulmn 'B'

in colum be you can use a formula such as:

=if(A1<0,A1,)You can then copy this down the 'B' column and all negative values in 'A' will be copied accross to 'B'

I know this isnt exactly what you asked for but i hope it helps.

re: Macro's on a MAC. Apple "reintroduced" VBA on the MAC's with Excel 2011.

2004 supported VBA

2008 did not

2011 doesSee here for some history and comments:
