September 21, 2011 at 12:32:19
Specs: Windows 7
In a excel class and on the section of analyzing data using formulas. The assignment that I am currently on asks that I use the IFERROR function to modify the formula in other cells so that the ID entered in not found, then the message Product ID not found is displayed in that cell.

We don't provide direct answers to homework problems in this forum. You wouldn't really learn anything if we did.

We can offer help with what you've already tried, but you have to put some effort into it first.

Even if you can't put the correct functions together to accomplish your goal, what do you think the logic should look like?

Thanks. I have done the formula over several time. Can you answer this, can the IFERROR be included in a formula that was already created for that cell? Example =IFERROR(Product ID not found(VLOOKUP(B5,ProductPrice[[ID]:[Type]],2)

Sure, but you have to use the proper syntax and formula rules.

All arguments must be in the correct order, all arguments must be separated by commas and all text strings must be enclosed in quotes.

Have you read the Excel Help files on the IFERROR function? From the look of the example you posted, it appears that you have not.
