Microsoft Outlook 2013 suddenly crashed

May 15, 2013 at 19:52:05
Specs: Windows 8
Have had Windows 8 installed for a few months now and have Microsoft Outlook 2013. Have never had any problems with Outlook until today where it now crashes every time I try to open it saying Outlook has stopped working. I did a quick online look to see how to fix and have tried the repair which does not seem to have worked. I tried going in to Outlook.exe /safe which I typed into the toolbar in the My Computer section as with Windows 8 there is no "Start" that I could find where you would normally type this. This has not worked either. It is affecting my business as I work from home. I cannot get in to see my emails or contacts. Please offer some help asap

try re-installing Outlook from the original installation media..

Don't worry about losing your Outlook data as that's kept in a separate location from the Outlook installation folder. In any case, you should have made a backup copy of your Outlook data to avoid losing it if disaster strikes (eg hard drive failure).
