mmcconaghy, The following instructions will work only on a computer that does not have Windows XP SP2 installed. We recommend that you upgrade immediately to Windows XP SP2.

First of all, this statement doesn't make sense. (why upgrade if the instructions WON"T work?) Second, These are the instructions I used. Look at what I posted above....When I click: view....toolbars.....web tools.....sound button, I get a pop up that says "this component cannot be inserted at this location in the document"

✔ Best Answer

I get a pop up

Windows is not known for it's informative error messages.

As best as I can tell, you have XP with SP 3
according to the MS web page, the ability to
add sound was removed in SP 2
so unless you go back to SP 1
the best you can do is add a sound file as an attachment.
