Merging data from Excel int Word

I have a table in excel with some calculated figures. I use the function to round the figures to 2 decimal places. However, when I merge the figures into a word document it displays lots of trailing zeros or nines.

Example A: 1757.81 in excel , 1757.81999999999 in word.

Example B: 4159.68 in excel, 4159.68000000003 in word.

How can I get the numbers to display in word only up to 2 decimal places? Thank you

Hi,

I have a couple of questions:

1. What steps are you doing to merge the Excel data into Word.
If I have 4159.68000000003 in a cell in Excel, but format it with two decimal places, then copy the cell and either paste it, or paste special unformatted text or HTML, it always shows as 4159.68.

2. You refer to a function to round the figures to 2 decimal places. Are you using the ROUND() function or are you formatting the cell as a number with two decimal places.

Regards
