macro for downloading a hyperlinked file

Specs: Windows 10
I have a excel document with many columns of data. One of the columns (D) contains hyperlinked information and column E contains names for the hyperlinked files. I need a help with a VBA code that will read hyperlink in the given cell (D10) and download that file to a local folder and then rename that file using the string in the other cell (E10) and repeating the action for all the hyperlinks in the given column.

What kind of files are you downloading?

Do the names in Column E already have the correct file extension or does the code need to append that while saving the file?

Thanks for your response. The files I want to download are images. The string in column E has no extension and just as you indicated I will prefer the code appends the extension while saving.

Another problem is that the hyperlink is sourcing from a google drive eg is:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1fP6NXg5-0Mid_Wu_DVJYJ1CgH7XoRLdF

and I do not know how the code can do this download and rename as access password is required for such google forms.

Hopefully someone else will step up on and help out on this one. Passing login information via a macro can be problematic and unfortunately is not something that can easily be tested if we don't have the actual login data (userid and password). That makes solving your issue somewhat time consuming.

On top of that, I'll be traveling for the next week or so, making my availability extremely limited.

I wish you luck!

Anyone know if Google Drive honors the old URL format of "https://userName:password@drive.google.com/"?
