Specs: Windows XP
When linking values from a couple of worksheets with a formula (ie. =, then clicking on a value in tiled view to another worksheet) the required value does not appear in the cell, it seems as though nothing is being selected. help.

Are you clicking the cell that you are trying to link to twice?

If you enter = in a cell in one pane and then click a cell in the other pane, the first click simply puts the focus on the other pane but doesn't actually select the cell.

The only change I notice after the first click is that the Excel symbol next to the title of the pane (e.g. Book1:1) moves from the pane where I entered the = in to the pane I just clicked on. Only after I click the cell again does the cell reference appear in the original cell.

Yup doing that, after I restart it works just fine...sometimes. Could it be that the address path is too long? That doesn't make sense if i can restart and it works :S.

Oh, and BTW this is between workBOOKS not sheets, sorry for the confusion. Works the same way though, minus the file address. And I'm not messing with file names or anything.
