Let text automatically disappear

Microsoft Microsoft word 2007

Specs: Macintosh
I am creating a template for other people to use and I want to give a description in the answer boxes for the users of the document. This description gives the user an indication about how they should answer the question. The point is that I want to make this text disappear automatically when they start typing in the box so the box gets empty and they have all the space to type their answer.

What is this "box" you speak of?

If it's just a cell then when the user selects it and starts typing, the original contents will disappear.

Is there something I'm missing in your explanation?

Hi, thanks for your help.

Perhaps I can clarify the answer box in an example question:

What do you think of Computing.net?

<e.g. it is useful, not very useful, I like the layout, etc...>

The answer within the <> marks show as suggestions for answers, as a frame of reference for person filling in the document. It explains what is expected of them to answer.

As soon as they start typing the answer, I'd like the example answer to automatically disappear.

Would you know how that works? I tried using the Developer function but then the person still has to select the complete answer, delete it and start typing. It won't automatically disappear...
